Leadership
There are many different styles and types of leadership. My particular approach has its own unique style. A few leadership qualities can be recognized through corporate leadership, education, sports, and financial strategies along with a host of others.
My leadership style, qualities, and background comes from the competitive lifestyle of a professional athlete who eventually translated those skills by returning to the classroom and overcoming illiteracy. Now I take this vitally important message and convey it to others.
Teamwork
The sport basketball is defined as a team sport. When the team wins everyone wins. When the team loses everyone loses. Everyone on the team has their role to play. It only takes one team member to let the whole team down and cause the entire team to lose. That is why the question is asked “are you a team player”? Once that is established among each player on the team, then and only then that the team can become a unit and win as a team.
Diversity
Diversity is the state of being diverse, recognizing the difference, willingness and the inclusion of individuals representing more than one origin, color, religion, socioeconomic, stratum, sexual orientation and the like. I’ve had to become a very diverse individual in order to navigate all of my trials and tribulations. My life has been a true Odyssey and a human interest success story. The fact that I traveled the entire world in eleven years, then went back to college and overcame illiteracy and graduated from college proved that I had to become a diverse individual to succeed. President Jimmy Carter once said “We are of course a nation of differences. Those differences don’t make us weak. They’re the source of our strength.”
Education
Education is the process of receiving or giving systematic instructions. Eespecially at all instructional institutions, schools, colleges and universities. After many years of failure in school I became a small miracle who came to know what that process and benefit of those systematic instructions were and what they meant to me, which changed my life forever. One cannot fathom the inner pain and self-destruction of not having an education while living in this society or the agony of defeat, unless you have witnessed and overcome being unlearned. Now that I am educated, I still struggle with the basic fundamental balance of being educated, because I did not develop the fundamental process of systematic instructions until I was thirty two years of age.
